Execution Watch radio program and blog Execution Watch broadcasts and streams live on KPFT FM HD2 and www.executionwatch.org at 6 p.m. Central Time (click on "Listen"), whenever the state of Texas puts someone to death. It is produced by Elizabeth Stein, hosted by Ray Hill and engineered by Otis Maclay, all volunteers and veteran journalists who became weary of the virtual news blackout in the mainstream media around executions. Each one-hour show includes live reports from outside the death house in Huntsville, legal analysis of the case by attorney Jim Skelton, and a featured interview. Execution Watch is designed to educate listeners about the sheer number of executions in Texas, as well as the reality versus the myth of who gets the death penalty and why. If an execution is called off, so is the show. We are the only radio program that loves to be canceled.
